Microencapsulation
The encapsulation technology involves “enclosing” a less stable product (e.g. pigments) in an envelope of more stable substances (e.g. sugars). This effect is usually achieved by homogenising the raw material, which is then subjected to spray drying.
The aim of the workshop is to learn about encapsulation technology. The workshop will include carrying out a manufacturing process, preceded by OHS and GMP/GHP and an introduction to the subject-matter. The practical part will take place at the Experimental Plant (NUTRIBIOMED) situated in the Wrocław Technology Park. The next part will be carried out in the laboratory and will involve laboratory analysis of the product obtained. The workshop is a one-day event.
The process and laboratory parts will be followed by a discussion of the results. Afterwards, the participants will receive certificates of completion for the workshop.
